How different ages are targeted
Newsround
CBBC's newsround webpage is a scaled down version of the BBC's, it follows the trend of having their most recent/important as the biggest on the page. It's full of bright bold colours attracting the attention of children.
Youtube Channel
Youtube Channel
Their Youtube videos aren't given an entire channel, this could be because an entire channel dedicated to news even if it's aimed at kids could be dull. By linking it with the entire CBBC channel it also has all the other entertainment with it.
They keep their brightly coloured theme as well as having emojis/text speak along the header the entire channel is entirely targeted at kids.
In conclusion
In conclusion because our channel is aimed at young adults we have to find a mix between too much colour (which could be distracting) and not enough (which could be dull), as well as being careful not to have a text heavy channel.
We're also going to have a trailer that automatically plays for the audience, it personalises the experience for the audience as well as making a connection between them and the news channel.
