Directions unit: costume

Costume

Mad Hatter

The Hatter's costume for my film was rather casual, I had is void of any colour with different shades of black and grey differing from the Burton costume. Two key things were the Doc Marten boots and eccentric hat. As well as this the Hatter had his own fob watch, I choose own that was a steampunk style but also looked like a relatively normal fob watch anyone could have.

Alice

Alice's costume was kept simple, she wore the signature blue that the character wears in other adaptions of Alice in Wonderland. Aside from this the rest of her costume was black.

Chester (Cheshire cat)

Cheshire's costume was literally a grey onesie, this did two things one being it helped establish the character as lazy and laid back as well as, symbolising the grey fur from cheshire cat in the Burton film.

Mally (Mouse)

Mally's costume consisted of various jewellery, lace and other bits and bobs. Her hair was tied up and had mouse like whiskers hanging down (as was Ethel's suggestion for the character).
